Hi Parents and Students,My name is Shannan Weimer and I am a speech-language pathologist at Delevan Elementary.
For those of you that don't already know me, here is a little information about myself. I graduated from Lancaster Central High School and the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB). I am a NYS licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. I also hold permanent certification as a New York State Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped. I have experience conducting evaluations and providing speech-language therapy to students in a variety of settings, including Early Intervention, preschool and public school. I make my home in Orchard Park with my husband and two sons. Both of my boys play ice hockey (and my husband coaches), so I spend a lot of my spare time in hockey rinks. I also enjoy reading, cooking and running. I've also recently started "pinning" - so fun! Of course with so many men in my house, I've become an avid sports fan so you might hear me cheering for the Buffalo Sabres, Buffalo Bills or Notre Dame football team (“Go Irish!”).
Thanks for visiting my website. Make sure you look around at the activity links and informative resources. I'm looking forward to the many exciting learning opportunities we will share as we build the strong communication skills that are needed to meet the challenges of today and the future!
