Welcome to Delevan Elementary School
Dear Families,
My name is Tiffany Giannicchi and I am the new Delevan Elementary Principal. This is my fifteenth year in education. Before coming to Delevan, I was the Curriculum Coordinator at Randolph Central School and Staff Development Specialist for Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES. I have had the opportunity to serve in several teaching positions ranging from elementary to high school. I taught third and fourth grade, and special education at the middle and high school level. These opportunities have allowed me to learn about and work within the education process from start to finish.
My leadership skills include an ability to form trusting relationships, create a vision and work diligently toward making that vision a reality. I have experience in creative problem solving, long range planning, and collaborative teamwork. I am also keenly aware of the intricacies of the change process including the impact of limited finances and the need for community involvement.
Starting a new school year gives us the opportunity to make new plans, set new goals and implement fresh ideas. It also gives us the opportunity to form positive partnerships between the school and parents, where we can work together for the best interest of the children. The close partnership between home and school is one of the exceptional strengths at Delevan Elementary School. I am committed to building on this partnership and making Delevan Elementary School one of the best schools in the country!
