• What about intensity? What's the difference between moderate and monitor?

Students who receive a moderate level of services are seen by their classroom teacher for an additional academic class. These classes are usually held during the school day, but may also occur after school. Students who are monitored are not assigned to an additional class. They are watched closely by their teachers, because they are close to reaching the criteria for being seen in an academic AIS class.
