Pioneer’s PreK will:
· Address the interrelated nature of each child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains of child development in a learner-centered classroom

Strengthen each child’s ability to achieve the NYS learning standards with curriculum and instruction strategies that will build from what the child already knows to what he/she needs to know through teacher-directed and child-selected playful, interactive, interdisciplinary, and connected lessons and activities.

Provide an environment in which each child can interact with people and materials, encouraging immersion in thinking about, writing about, and talking about their learning experiences.

Provide extensive exposure to a variety of reading material , promoting growth in vocabulary, comprehension, and establishing a broad information base for each child
Provide an environment in which positive experiences will promote healthy social and emotional growth and development in each child as the development of large muscle/gross motor and small muscle/fine motor coordination in each child is integral to their academic, social and emotional growth, provide a well-round, activity and literacy based experience that will meet the needs of each individual child.
