Parent Involvement

Pioneer’s PreK will:


  • · Address the interrelated nature of each child's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive domains of child development in a learner-centered classroom

    ·

  • Strengthen each child’s ability to achieve the NYS learning standards with curriculum and instruction strategies that will build from what the child already knows to what he/she needs to know through teacher-directed and child-selected playful, interactive, interdisciplinary, and connected lessons and activities.

    ·

  • Provide an environment in which each child can interact with people and materials, encouraging immersion in thinking about, writing about, and talking about their learning experiences.

    ·

  • Provide extensive exposure to a variety of reading material , promoting growth in vocabulary, comprehension, and establishing a broad information base for each child


  • Provide an environment in which positive experiences will promote healthy social and emotional growth and development in each child as the development of large muscle/gross motor and small muscle/fine motor coordination in each child is integral to their academic, social and emotional growth, provide a well-round, activity and literacy based experience that will meet the needs of each individual child.
