Mrs. Schwab

Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Schwab! It is my pleasure to be your child’s teacher this upcoming 2017 - 2018 school year.  I would like to tell you a few things about myself. I went for my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education at SUNY Fredonia.  I am certified in Birth through Sixth Grade with a concentration in Social Studies.  I graduated in May 2010 from Fredonia.   I then went on to Buffalo State College for my Master’s Degree.  I was in the Curriculum and Instruction Program with a concentration in Literacy and graduated in 2013.  This is my fifth year at Arcade Elementary. I started off my career at this school being the year long term substitute for our RTI Program, taught 4th Grade, then I looped 3rd Grade to 4th Grade the past two years.  I am looking forward to working in 4th Grade with your child this year.  I am highly involved at Arcade Elementary.  I am on the PBIS Committee, Technology Committee, run the Talent Show and Family Science Night.   I got married last October to my husband, Matt.  We added a loving husky puppy, Riu, to our family this past February.  We love playing sports, being outdoors and spending time with our family and friends.

I am a firm believer in strong parent/ guardian and teacher communication.  Feel free to contact me at any time if you ever have any questions or concerns.  I am always willing to meet with you before or after school as well.  My email is:   Please visit my classroom website on a regular basis for important information and updates.  I also participate in the Remind App, in which I send our regular reminders about important events coming up.  The link for our remind app can be found to the right, under the Remind tab.  I can't wait to work with your child this school year!
