Im a career Physical Education Teacher at Pioneer High School , but probably best known for my involvement in insterscholastic wrestling on the high school level.

Who I am:

Graduated from Orchard Park High School, where he played Football, Baseball, and Wrestled.

Teacher in the Pioneer Central School District- 1967 to present. Teaching Regents Biology, Junior and Senior High Health, Junior and Senior High School Physical Education.

Coached Soccer, Football, Baseball, Junior High, Modified, JV, and Varsity Wrestling for Pioneer.

Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, Health, Recreation and Dance with a minor in Biology - Alabama College - 1967

Graduate work in Physical Education and Adapted Physical Education - University of Buffalo and Canisius College

1967-1983 - 16 years as Junior Olympic Kids Wrestling Coach

1967-1981 - 14 years as 7th & 8th Grade Wrestling Coach - record: 70-5

1970-1984 - 14 years Junior Varsity Coach - record: 135 - 25

1984 - 2008 - 24 years Varsity Coach - record: 242 - 89 (2007-08)

1970-71 1st year as a JV coach, the JV team went 13-1 losing only to Niagara Wheatfield. The following year the Pioneer JV team broke Niagara Wheatfield's win streak and went 14-0.

One of the many highlights of my career was as an assistant coach under National Hall of Famer, coach Dick Post. In 1974 and 1975 Pioneer H.S. won back to back New York State High School State Wrestling Team Championships. Also being at the State Tournament when Keith Stearns won "States" and was named Outstanding New York State Wrestler.

Published: " Using Learning Styles Research in Coaching" that appeared in The Journal of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, the professional journal for Physical Educators.

1993 presented Learning Styles Research for developing coaching strategies at the World University Games to the International Sports Congress that included Coaches, Sports Trainers, and Sport Research Professionals representing 116 countries.

As an International Learning Styles Trainer, Physical Educator and Coach, Ron, and his wife Carolyn have presented at many international conferences and worked with Physical Education teachers and coaches in American Overseas and International Schools through out the world.
