Grading symbols used in my gradebook:
ab = absent: Work may be made up within 3 school days if it's a legal absence. Otherwise grade becomes 0% ab shows as 0 in parent connect.
late = student was present but did not hand in assignment on time: Points will be deducted for assignment being late. late shows as 0 in parent connect.
Exc = excused: Work done on day of absence cannot be made up but will not count against student's grade.
Inc = incomplete: Lab not completed and must be made up (State regulations) or extended legal absence with major grades missing.
